As current passes through the junction between two ceramic substrates, heat is produced on one side of the junction and absorbed on the other side. A heatsink is recommended for the hot side of the module. The characteristics are Qmax @ Th, Delta Tmax @ Th, current max, voltage max, resistance, and operating temperature.
