Surface conditioning may be used to prepare the cut end of a fiber optic cable before installation. General classifications of abrasives include coarse, extra coarse, fine, medium, super fine, and ultra fine and are available in rolls, sheets, belts, discs, wheels, cloth, brushes, and films.
